The new advertising campaign, launched in the print media on Monday, will target the SME sector, where offense rates are 10-15 percentage points higher than in other sectors, said Sebok. She added that the campaign would stress the benefits of legal usage rather than penalties for fraud.

In Hungary, 42% of software used by businesses is pirated. Although this is an improvement since the early 1990s, it is still higher than the western European average of 36%. Piracy rates in the Ukraine and CIS countries are among the highest in the world at 91%.
