Construction output in Hungary was up 13.9% year on year in August 2005 according to unadjusted and 11.3% according to working day adjusted figures released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH). This brings growth in the first eight months of the year to 14.4%.

US-based IT firm IBM is to further expand its financial service operation in Hungary, leading to the creation of "several hundred new jobs," said IBM Hungary CEO Peter Paal.
