Sweden's Sekab to launch Hungary's largest bio-ethanol project with EUR 343 mln investment
Swedish bio-fuels firm Svensk Etanolkemi AB (Sekab) announced Wednesday it plans to carry out Hungary's largest bio-ethanol investment, building four production plants at a cost of EUR 343 mln, that will be up and running by 2008-9.
Procurement prices drive Hungarian PMI growth indicator in June, adding to inflation fears
The Hungarian Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) - a general growth indicator - rose 1.1 percentage points in June to a seasonally adjusted 55.4%, as a strong increase in procurement prices suggested increasing inflationary pressure, according the Association of Logistics, Purchasing and Inventory Management (MLBKT) Monday.

Foreign direct investment (FDI) in Hungary totaled EUR 2.01 bln in the first quarter of 2006, a high quarterly figure that was boosted by the conclusion of the sale of the gas business of MOL Hungarian Oil and Gas Company, according to a press release issued by the Economy and Transport Ministry.
Japan's Musashi breaks ground on Hungarian paint factory
Japanese paint manufacturer Musashi has started construction of a 3,000 square meter production plant in the industrial park of the western Hungarian town of Oroszlany. The factory, Musashi's first in Europe, will be completed by the end of the year.
