The Central Hungary region including Budapest is to benefit from an extra EUR 140 mln in EU funds between 2007–2013 under the recently announced EU budget while new rules will allow the money to be spent on a wider range of projects, announced Budapest mayor Gabor Demszky on Tuesday.

Danish toy manufacturer Lego to outsource product line to Hungary

Danish toy manufacturer Lego announced in a statement Wednesday that it plans to outsource production of its DUPLO product to Singaporean electronics company Flextronics' factory in western Hungary from its present location in Switzerland in a bid to increase the product's profitability.
