France's PVL takes over plastics injection molding factory from Pannonplast
Hungary's largest plastics group Pannonplast has outsourced the Szekesfehervar (western Hungary) operations of its loss-making technological plastics division PMM to France's Plastiques Du Val De Loire (PVL) in a bid to cut group losses.
Budapest and Central Hungary region to benefit from extra EUR 140 mln in EU funds
The Central Hungary region including Budapest is to benefit from an extra EUR 140 mln in EU funds between 2007–2013 under the recently announced EU budget while new rules will allow the money to be spent on a wider range of projects, announced Budapest mayor Gabor Demszky on Tuesday.
Central bank keeps base rate on hold at 6.00%, as expected

British airports operator BAA to take control of Budapest Airport on Friday
Amid strikes, a credit downgrade and a legal challenge by a rival bidder, airport operator British Airports Authority (BAA) announced Sunday that it will take control of Budapest Airport (BA) on Friday December 23 after agreeing to pay a record GBP 1.3 bln during the privatization of the operator of Hungary's Ferihegy international airport.
