Hungarian fuel consumption up 1.8% in '05, led by diesel
Overall fuel consumption in Hungary increased by just 1.8% in 2005, the result of an 8% rise in diesel consumption and a 2.7% decline in the use of gasoline, according to data published by the Hungarian Petroleum Association.

S&P revises Hungary's outlook from stable to negative, sees euro adoption only in 2014
Standard & Poor's (S&P) Ratings Services said Thursday it revised its outlook on the Republic of Hungary to negative from stable on mounting fiscal challenges that could delay Eurozone entry. At the same time, the 'A-' long-term and 'A-2' short-term sovereign credit ratings on Hungary were affirmed.
