"The prime minister has requested Erik Bogsch, Andras Simor and Gyorgy Suranyi to be members of the council, all three of whom have accepted," government spokesman Andras Batiz said in a statement.
Bogsch is the CEO of drug firm Richter, while Simor was Chairman of the Budapest Stock Exchange between 1998–2002 and has been the CEO of Deloitte Hungary since. Suranyi was governor of central bank MNB in 1995–2001, and is now head of Italian bank Intesa's CEE division.
The government will launch talks with MNB experts on the eurozone convergence program next week, and will also consult social partners, including representatives of entrepreneurs and employees. "The program will be completed and made public by mid-August, and will be finalized after extensive social debate. It will be submitted to the European Union on September 1," according to the statement.
