Foreign trade deficit lower than expected at EUR 172 mln in September
Hungary's foreign trade deficit was EUR 172 mln in September 2005, lower than the EUR 288 mln figure in the same month last year and also better than analyst forecasts of EUR 271 mln.

Hungary's cash-flow based consolidated state budget deficit was HUF 1,061.6 bln at the end of October, some HUF 44 bln lower than the expected HUF 1,105.6 bln, the finance ministry announced on Monday. The deficit amounts to 4.77% of GDP, compared to the 4.6% target for the year.
