The six firms are Spain's Abertis Telecom, Czech firm Ceske Radiokomunikace, Australia's Macquarie Telecom Consortium, Austria's ORF, Swisscom Broadcast and Telediffusion de France. According to APV, the indicative offers of these firms ranged between HUF 18.81-38 billion (USD 90.7-183.1 million).
Valid bids were vetted based on both the submitted strategic plans and price bids, while in the second round the amount offered will be the sole criterion in determining the winner. The six firms will enter Antenna's data room to conduct due diligence, and will hand in their final bids by July 15. Preliminary bids can only be modified upwards in the second round.
The revealed bid amounts essentially mean that, barring the disqualification of the firm that made the largest bid in the first round, APV will sell its Antenna stake for at least HUF 38 billion. This translates to a price of HUF 4266 per share - Antenna shares closed 0.9% higher at HUF 4440 on the stock exchange Thursday.
