Current account deficit narrows to EUR 1.701 bln in Q2 on improving trade deficit
Hungary's current account deficit reached EUR 1.701 bln in the second quarter of 2005, according to figures released by central bank MNB on Friday. This is in line with market expectations, and represents an improvement of EUR 548 mln over the same quarter of last year, as a significantly improving trade balance was able to offset a slight increase in income outflows and a widening service deficit.
