EUR 135 million BorsodChem–Linde investment project receives state support
Kazincbarcika-based chemical producer BorsodChem (BC) and German-owned industrial gas producer Linde Gaz have concluded an agreement with the economy ministry on government support for a combined EUR 135 million investment project currently carried out by the two companies.
Gripen International completes 58% of HUF 191 billion offset program
Gripen International and its partners have carried out a total of HUF 110 billion (USD 563 million) purchases and investments within the offset program related to Hungary's purchase of Gripen fighter jets. This is approximately 58% of the total HUF 191 billion program, economy and transport minister Janos Koka announced.
Producer prices rise 5% in June, 4.6% in H1 2005
The producer price index (PPI) rose 5% year on year in June 2005 and 4.6% in the first half of the year, according to figures released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) on Monday.
Home construction rises 10.7%, but new building permits down 10.5% in H1
A total of 15,102 new homes were completed in Hungary in the first half of 2005, 10.7% more than in the same period of the previous year, according to figures released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH). However, the number of new permits issued for home building during January-June actually decreased by 10.5% to 24,865.
PMI back in positive territory at 52.3 in July – driven by new orders
Hungary's purchasing manager index (PMI) grew to 52.3 points in July from 48.1 in June, according to seasonally adjusted figures published by the Hungarian Association of Logistics, Purchasing and Inventory Management (MLBKT).
